The Clarity Foundation is a registered non-for-profit organization started by individuals who are passionate about fighting misinformation after witnessing its detrimental impact on society.
There has been a degradation of trust in established institutions as the public believes that such organizations have hidden agendas, ulterior motives and potential biases.
Clarity Foundation’s first project uses novel technology to securely verify and acquire the aggregate decentralized anonymous opinions of recognized individual experts on controversial topics. This enhances the trustworthiness of the information by bypassing government bodies, institutions and anyone else that could intermediate or filter them.
Misinformation threatens our individual and collective well-being by causing us to devalue expert information and instead believe false information. This polarizes society and can be catastrophic to public health.
Expert consensus is the best system we have to help us make important decisions to increase public good and keep us away from harm. Trust expert consensus and do not trust isolated extremist voices. Expert consensus is the best way to differentiate scientific knowledge from misinformation.
