Heather Lanthorn
SENIOR ADVISOR
Heather helps organizations — public, private, and philanthropic — leverage behavioral and political science to improve the public's health. She holds a Doctorate of Science (ScD) in Global Health and Population from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with a focus on the political economy of health systems. Her thesis focused on the adoption and implementation of a large market-shaping initiative for malaria medication. Fantastic. She’s Co-Director of the Mercury Project, which is “a consortium of social and behavioral scientists working around the world to find cost-effective and scalable interventions that build vaccine demand and support science-based health decision-making.” Mercury is part of the Social Science Research Council. “For 100 years the Social Science Research Council has provided the policy and philanthropic communities with access to the social and behavioral scientists working to innovate and evaluate scalable solutions to pressing societal problems.”
